Volunteer Opportunities

Mentoring and Tutoring

Spend one hour a week helping a student with their homework or providing that extra one on one attention that every child needs. Mentors and tutors are needed at Chapel Hill Academy and our Juvenile Justice program. Classroom assistants are also needed.

Organize our Food Pantry and Clothes Closet

Our clothes closet and food pantry is on hand to provide emergency assistance to our clients and families. We use volunteers to help sort through donations and keep the closet and pantry nice and tidy. Please contact Katherine Niederer by email or phone at 817.255.2646.

Host a Donation Drive

This is a great opportunity for a group to volunteer and give back to the community. Donation drives can include canned goods, toiletry items, coats, or books. For additional donation drive ideas, please contact Katherine Niederer by email  or phone at 817.255.2646

Holiday Events

Plan a holiday party for a classroom or organize a group to perform or collect items. During the winter holidays there are additional volunteer and donation opportunities.

Join a Special Event Committee

We have several special events each year: Sweethearts Dessert Fantasy, Fiesta de Oro, Rooftop Rock and the Nike Golf Classic. If you are interested in getting involved with any of these fundraising experiences, please contact Katherine Niederer by email or by phone 817.255.2646

Help out in the Office

Help in a variety of clerical and office duties is always available for volunteers and is usually where most assistance is needed.  This may include filing, data input, addressing and/or stuffing envelopes, or answering the phone.  Volunteer opportunites are available at Chapel Hill Academy and in our Development offices.
