Family Support

Family Support is a 9-12 month intensive home based program that helps youth and their families in Tarrant County using the Functional Family Therapy model and provides case management and support to the youth and their families. Family Support works with juveniles that have been placed in a residential placement facility, specifically ones that are scheduled to be discharged in the next 1-3 months. The program’s goal is to facilitate a smooth transition between being discharged from the residential facility and moving back home. This is accomplished by providing an invested therapist to:

  • Work with the family prior to youth being discharged from placement to overcome as many barriers as possible for  successful reunification and in the actual transition home
  • Work with the family as a whole after the youth moves back into the home

Youth participating in the program are referred to Lena Pope Home through Tarrant County Juvenile Probation. Although this program is by referral, our Family Matters Counseling program can offer similar services for you and your family. For more information, click here.
