Family Matters Counseling

Lena Pope Home is committed to providing effective, accessible services to our community. The Family Matters Counseling program is one way that LPH can make that happen. Family Matters Counseling provides Counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and families who reside in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Services are provided by licensed therapists who are dedicated to helping clients achieve their goals and can occur in both an individual or group context. Counseling sessions may occur in the office, in the home or in the community depending on the clients’ needs. Family Matters Counseling Program is partially funded by United Way and Texas Department of State Health Services.

Therapist Credentials:

Therapists who provide treatment services for Family Matters Counseling hold the following degrees: LCSW, LMSW, LPC, LPC-I, and LMFT. Likewise, Master’s level interns are utilized to see clients. A Bilingual Intake Coordinator and a Spanish-speaking Therapist are available for assisting Spanish-speaking clients.

Practices & Programs:

Many modalities may be used during treatment depending on client needs. These include Evidence-based Practices & Programs, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-focused Therapy, Process Therapy, Filial/Play Therapy, and Psychotherapy.

Services provided include: assessments, individual, family, couples and group counseling, psychiatric treatment, school-based groups, community-based groups and in-home counseling.

Topics include therapeutic substance abuse treatment, relationship skills building, social skills building, parenting, aggression replacement & management, sexual behavior intervention for children ages 3 – 12, and the like. Group topics are based on current client and community needs.

A 24-hour crisis hotline is available at all times. Both a primary and secondary professional are available to assist with crisis calls. That number is 817-731-8839.

Fees for Service:

Lena Pope Home is committed to serving clients of all income levels. Therefore, Family Matters Counseling offers an array of payment options for counseling services. Sliding scale fees are available upon request and are based on the number of individuals living in the home and proof of current income. Also, many insurance plans are accepted, including Medicaid and other private insurances.

Locations:

Clients can be seen in three central locations: Fort Worth, Arlington & N.E. Tarrant County.

Family Matters Counseling offers services to adults, children, adolescents, and families. All counseling services are provided by licensed, masters-level clinicians. New clients are welcome and fees are affordable. We accept Medicaid and private insurance; sliding scale fees are also available.

As a United Way agency, Lena Pope Home is offering the counseling services to Tarrant County residents.

Each center offers counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and families.

In addition to individual and family counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, family retreats and life enrichment workshops are offered. Those who seek services will find appointments are readily available and fees are affordable.
