Family Matters provides counseling, home-based crisis intervention and stabilization services to adults, children and families, twenty-four hours per day. In addition, short-term, family focused intensive services are provided to families with youth that are at risk of abuse, neglect, truancy, running away or involuntary removal from their home and community.
Family Matters serves individuals of all ages. Family Matters counseling provides outpatient diagnosis, treatment and counseling services to adults, children/adolescents and their extended families. Treatment is delivered at family centers in Arlington, Fort Worth, and HEB. Services include assessment, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, mental health education, and specialized/addiction services. In-home family preservation serves youth 10-17 years of age residing in Tarrant County who are referred by the Juvenile Probation Department, Fort Worth ISD, municipal police departments, John Peter Smith Hospital or other Lena Pope Home programs. Referred youth have been identified as high risk for further delinquency or at risk of removal from home.
