Kimberly Mahlke

Mrs. Mahlke has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development from The University of Texas. This is her fourth year in education and second year at Chapel Hill Academy. Mrs. Mahlke came to CHA from Jim Mitchell Elementary in Georgetown ISD where she taught Fourth Grade. She is certified EC-8, ESL, Special Education EC-12, and trained in teaching Gifted and Talented. Mrs. Mahlke is currently the grade level chair for Third Grade at CHA. She has a passion for teaching, and helping each student become successful, lifelong learners.

Allison Speer

Allison Speer will begin her second year with CHA as a third grade teacher. Teaching is her second career, as she spent the first 20 years of her professional career as a newspaper and magazine writer and reporter. She also worked for the Fort Worth Zoo writing and researching for various animal exhibits and events. Ms. Speer received her undergrad in journalism at TCU, and her alternative certification in elementary education through Region XI Service Center. She lives in Fort Worth with her two third-grade daughters, Caroline and Casey. Go Frogs!

Kelly Hammons

Ms. Hammons teaches third grade at Chapel Hill Academy. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education.  
She has eight years of teaching experience in both Texas and North Carolina.  Last year, she worked with Chapel Hill Academy students to help prepare them in math for the TAKS.
She is certified in EC-4 and ESL.  She has two children and two dogs at home.  Ms. Hammons has always loved teaching and is excited to join the Chapel Hill Academy family and help her third graders have a fun and successful school year!
