Benjamin Broadwater

Mr. Broadwater was born in Heidelberg, Germany. He lived in many places with his family of five siblings due to the Army, but in Columbia, S.C. more than anywhere else. He is a proud 1976 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. Mr. Broadwater spent 23 years in the corporate world, most of it with the Manufacturing Division of The Kroger Co and became a certified teacher in July of 2000. He taught 9 years with Fort Worth ISD, including 2 years working for Mrs. Sendejo at Meadowbrook Elementary. He received the 2007 Teaching Chair for Excellence in Elementary Reading from the district and was the Writing Specialist for the district Instructional Support Team from 2002-2007. He was Campus Reading Coach for 7 years and spent 2 years as a campus Math Coach. Mr. Broadwater was the lead 3rd grade teacher for CHA in 2010-11 and is now the lead teacher for the 4th grade." I want ALL of my students to be as self-directed as possible, to be responsible for their own learning and to believe that they really can do whatever they wish to do."

Macie Warden

Ms. Warden teaches 4th grade Writing, Science, and Social Studies at Chapel Hill Academy. She recently moved to Fort Worth after graduating from the University of South Carolina with her Master of Education in Language and Literacy. Ms. Warden also received her Bachelor’s degree from USC in Elementary Education. Ms. Warden has spent several years volunteering in classrooms and tutoring children outside of school but this will be her first year as a full-time teacher. With her own deep passion for learning, Ms. Warden hopes to create a classroom full of life-long learners! Ms. Warden is eager to begin her first year teaching and proud to join the staff at CHA!
